Writer's Block: It Was Only A Dream

Have you ever had a dream so certain it happened? What was it?

Usually when I wake up I know I was dreaming. But there are some times when I'm not quite wake but not fully asleep either, that I can direct what's goig to happen, and I'm nearly positive that it truly is happening at that moment.

For the most part, I don't remember my dreams, and that makes me sad. I've only ever had one dream that was the full-on trailer experience--it was practically a movie for the story I've been thinking about since I was thirteen. I of course couldn't remember any specifics when I woke up, but I knew it had been a technicolor dream. I wish I could have remembered it. It had the ending to the story and everything.

Maybe one day I'll figure out how things turn out.

I have dreams like you describe - ones you can direct. Not too often, but they're a lot of fun!

I hope you will figure that special dream out. ( :
It's been a while, so I hope you are doing well.

Take care of yourself dear.

I don't usually remember dreams, either.

Or at least, I don't remember anything useful. My dreams rarely have an end, so they have that in common with the stories in my head. I too have had a couple banging around in there for decades with no ending to be found. Thanks for sharing that.

On the other hand, sometimes my dreams involve more emotion then event, and I touch on certain emotions more strongly when I am asleep. So that has been useful to my writing a couple of times.
